This is my story of how I have done at letting go of some things. I started this blog when my son was in High School , during a deployment and facing big life changes. I have come out the other side of those changes. Emptynest, long since empty. Our son is now a Lt in the USMC and now we are facing exiting the Marine Corps possibly in the next few years. One thing I have learned is life is constantly in flux, so this is my life...in flux.

Police: ASU student was fatally shot during botched robbery
Police: ASU student was fatally shot during botched robbery , My heart goes out to this young mans family and to my son and all the ASU students that will mourn for this loss. I have to tell you as a parent this is MY worse fear. It is so scary to send your child off to college and when something so SENSELESS happens right on your door step it really brings it all home.

Good Lord! Bless him and his family. I completely understand how that is your worst fear!
What a horrible thing! That is anyone's worst nightmare when you have children - even when they become adults!
I spoke to my son and he told me that he never goes out late without a few friends. I just can't help thinking how that could have been ANY kid on that campus and that is what is scary.
