This is my story of how I have done at letting go of some things. I started this blog when my son was in High School , during a deployment and facing big life changes. I have come out the other side of those changes. Emptynest, long since empty. Our son is now a Lt in the USMC and now we are facing exiting the Marine Corps possibly in the next few years. One thing I have learned is life is constantly in flux, so this is my life...in flux.

Amboy Road
If you have ever been stationed in 29 Palms and have taken Amboy Rd you will recognize these pics. I have seen this "desert art" out here since I was a teenager staying with my sister here when her hubs was stationed here. I went out to take some pics to share. I know art is subjective and beauty is in the eye of the beholder but I grew up in Philadelphia. This same thing in the city I find offensive to the eye, but out here in the middle of the desert there is just something different about it...strange I know but it is what it is.

Very Awesome! Makes me want to head up there for the day to see it in person!
Hi Elizabeth, Amboy Road can be kind of creepy at night, a lot of us take it to Las Vegas but it is creepy none the less. You should drive it and it leads right to Route 66..!
Loving your blog! Its making me miss 29 though:(
