This is my story of how I have done at letting go of some things. I started this blog when my son was in High School , during a deployment and facing big life changes. I have come out the other side of those changes. Emptynest, long since empty. Our son is now a Lt in the USMC and now we are facing exiting the Marine Corps possibly in the next few years. One thing I have learned is life is constantly in flux, so this is my life...in flux.

FIRST VOTE
Today my son cast his first ballot. I am proud I have a son who not only exercised his right to be heard but that he went to vote as an informed citizen. Congratulations son!

YAY! Congratulations to him! I remember my first time voting, and today is the first time in 9 years that I have not walked into my voting place and cast my ballot :(
Thanks Elizabeth! I was so happy our son could actually go cast a balllot, not quite the same as an absentee ballot ;( He attends college in our home state so he was able to get the whole first time experience. Sorry you are now among the absentee group, but it's important to vote no matter how we must do it!
