This is my story of how I have done at letting go of some things. I started this blog when my son was in High School , during a deployment and facing big life changes. I have come out the other side of those changes. Emptynest, long since empty. Our son is now a Lt in the USMC and now we are facing exiting the Marine Corps possibly in the next few years. One thing I have learned is life is constantly in flux, so this is my life...in flux.

Wow! What a great picture that shows how courageous the men and women in the armed forces are. Thank you for sharing.
Jessica, thank you for your comment. What makes this photo so special is it was taken in Now Zad and at the time the Taliban had ran off all the locals. Because of the sacrifices of the young Marine in this photo and many others, Now Zad is now habitable by the locals that were once run off. I am very proud our our troops.
We are so lucky to have so many men and woman willing to sacrafice for our freedom. I feel humbled by this pixx..Thanks for sharing!
oh I can't wait to show this to my son! last night he was asking me "where do Army sleep?" (he calls them Army instead of soldiers) and I told him all the different places...when I said sometimes they sleep on the ground he said "but Mom there's BUGS on the ground!!!" that gave me an opportunity to explain to a 4 year old the sacrifices our troops make from their comfort just so that they can help provide and protect the comforts of others. God bless ALL of our service men and women!
I love this photo. It touches my heart to see anything like this. I'm so thankful to live where we have an all volunteer military service that protects us with pride and honor.
Thank you ladies, I was looking through my hubs photos last night and couldn't get over all the great shots he took, I will share some of them over time..stay tuned! Yes, we are indeed lucky to live in a country where our freedoms are voluntarily looked after by so few.
